1230 Madison Ave
Located on the Upper East Side, 1230 Madison Ave will be a 20-story residential building with 14 full-floor apartment units and a penthouse duplex. The RAMSA-designed exterior pays homage to the pre-war history of this neighborhood, but with distinguished modern accents. These include a German silver entrance and canopy set in a limestone podium, with a distinctive arch defining the southern corner of building. The building then evolves materially into cast stone and brick, with custom detail work in the form of complex brick patterns, cast stone medallions, brick window arches, and a distinctive crown. Residences also include Juliet balconies and terraces throughout, with custom railings designed by RAMSA and produced locally by artisan ornamental metalworkers.
The interiors boast bespoke design elements by Kelly Behun Studios, with an intricate lobby stone mosaic and a continuous channel of German silver through to the elevator lobby. The amenities package includes an exercise room and private training room, a pet grooming station, storage lockers, and a bike storage room. In addition to private apartment terraces, the main residential roof terrace offers an elevated oasis with sweeping views of downtown Manhattan and the adjacent Central Park.
